Round table meeting Education and Real Estate

Your school building was built quite a few years ago. As a school board, you have been the owner and responsible for operation and management for several years now. Do you have any idea of the energy management of your school building(s)? Energy costs form a substantial part of the operating costs of your school building. Significant savings can often be achieved with minor interventions and the legal obligations for energy-saving measures can also be met. This way you can kill two birds with one stone without having to make large financial investments.

During the Round Table meeting, Egbert Schelhaas will discuss the relevant legal framework for making educational real estate more sustainable.  Peter Mertens will enthusiastically inform you about the possibility of tackling your energy management in close collaboration with the students . The concept Energy Challenges offers different options for this depending on the age of the students and school type. The concept promotes enthusiasm for the theme of energy and leads to more climate awareness. In addition, participation reduces the energy consumption of schools through real-time consumption monitoring and tailor-made advice. The possible sustainability measures are inventoried by means of a quick scan. You will then work with your students to identify which organizational steps are necessary and how the various measures can be financed.

The seminar will take place on Monday, March 6, 2017 in 's-Hertogenbosch. There are no costs associated with participation. Afterwards we would like to offer you a drink with the opportunity to chat.
