Privacy

Due to rapid technological developments and since the introduction of the General Data Protection Regulation ("AVG"), privacy is increasingly central. More and stronger rights apply to data subjects such as customers or employees. For companies, this means more obligations so that they handle the personal data they process with care.

The Personal Data Authority, after a period of mainly informing, has indicated that it will be checking more. The first sanctions under the AVG have already been imposed.

Due to the open standards that the AVG applies, it sometimes proves difficult to deal with this in practice. We have experience in assisting companies to comply with all aspects of the AVG. We assist (international) companies with mapping out processing operations, negotiating with third parties/processors, procedures for data leaks, data protection impact assessments and drafting all conceivable privacy-related documents such as privacy statements, protocols, cookie notifications, processing agreements and so on. All so that your organization is compliant and meets the accountability requirements as included in the AVG.
