Martijn is an all-round competition and procurement lawyer. He is particularly interested in issues at the intersection of the market and government, including public-private partnerships and the distribution of scarce rights. Due to his expertise in the field of public-private partnerships, Martijn is frequently involved in sustainable energy projects in which governments and market parties join forces to accelerate the energy transition. Martijn is involved as an advisor in the development of various heating and cooling projects, wind and solar parks and biomass projects.
Martijn also has extensive experience in the field of cartels, distribution and agency agreements, abuse of a dominant position, state aid, compliance processes and guiding companies in reporting concentrations to the ACM and the European Commission. He also frequently advises and litigates on tenders, both on behalf of contracting authorities and tendering parties. He has recently been involved in tenders in the following sectors: security, construction, defense, energy, ICT, medical devices, education, cleaning and transport.
