We are active in all areas of law relevant to businesses and individuals. With a relatively young and extremely enthusiastic team of approximately 46 specialized lawyers and 25 staff members, we work daily for a broad group of national and international clients. Our team also includes mediators, deputy counsel and university lecturers. We have a nationally recognized training institute, Banning Opleidingen, and a cassation practice for when things get really challenging.
With our entrepreneurial and pragmatic approach, we are able to provide clients with the best possible service. Quality goes without saying: technical knowledge and service are of paramount importance to us. The working atmosphere can be characterized as dynamic, in which no two days are the same and you, as our new colleague, will be continuously challenged. We are committed to personal involvement and have offices in Amsterdam and Den Bosch.

Banning Academy
Welcome to the Banning Academyworking on your development!
At Banning Lawyers, we believe that you never stop learning. The Banning Academy focuses on the education and training of our legal staff, junior lawyers (maximum five years of experience) and support. Certain components are also of interest to mediors and seniors. This training is in addition to the mandatory professional training provided by the Dutch Bar Association.
The trainings are aimed at improving the soft and hard skills that enhance the knowledge and quality of our lawyers and support as well as strengthening the mutual connection. The instructors are partners of Banning and external experts.
A small selection from the wide range of courses on offer:Legal English, drafting procedural documents, time management, acquisition, negotiating, presenting and tips & tricks for court hearings.
With the Banning Academy, we offer training to our employees so that they can successfully meet the challenges within our practice.
For students
Collaboration with Magister JFT
Since 2018, we have partnered with faculty association Magister JFT of Tilburg University. Recruiting students and introducing them to the legal profession is a high priority here. We offer third-year undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to complete a student internship for six or eight weeks in an area of law that matches their preference and expertise.
In cooperation with Magister JFT, we organize an annual Kroegcollege, which takes place on the Tilburg University campus, participate in the annual Business Day at the Willem II Stadium and organize an office visit at our 's-Hertogenbosch office. In the process, students are challenged to hold a moot court. The moot court will take place in one of the old, in its original state, courtrooms of our office (Old Palace of Justice). Lawyers from our firm who are also deputy counsel to the judiciary form the moot court.
